United Way food drive

Every year, in the Fall, we work with our local United Way chapter on a robust food drive. Brining together the best of two worlds, we are able to collect, sort, and distribute thousands of pounds of food and toiletry items to the West Bend, Washington Country, and greater South East Wisconsin region.

This year, it fell on September 22, 2021. At this time, United Way volunteers throughout Washington Country, collected items from local schools, businesses, and neighborhoods. Once the items were collected, the group got together at the Washington Country Fair Grounds to hand off to the pantry to take back, sort, and get to those who need it. Together we gathered 5,192 pounds of food and 5,036 hygiene items.

Anyone can help. United Way hosts this event every year. Make sure to watch out for it next year. You can also check out United Way’s website for more information: https://www.unitedwayofwashingtoncounty.org/news/2021-campaign-kick-event-save-date
